Another week, another event! Here’s a list of all kinds of fun things to add to your summer to-do list. With that in mind, let’s get started on this week’s Events Roundup.

Harry Potter Bar Crawl

It’s time to relax and enjoy a night out. But if you have any kind of inner witch or wizard, then the Harry Potter Bar Crawl is the kind of event you need. Hosted by Bar Crawl Live, Potter fans in Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan, are invited to join like-minded beings. A route in each city will be preplanned, and crawlers are invited to dress to impress in their best robes. Tickets for each bar crawl start at $20, and both will occur on Saturday, August 14. For more information on the crawls’ times and start locations in Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan, check out the respective event websites.

Dinner and a Movie

Ah, the dinner and a movie: a classic date night. It’ll be an even better night seeing as the movie picked for the evening is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. UNO Pizzeria and Grill in Alexandria, Virginia, promises to serve up a delicious dinner and an unforgettable movie on Tuesday, August 24 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. The evening is free to attend. Registration info and menu options are available on the event website.

Harry Potter Murder Mystery Dinner

*GASP* There’s been a murder most foul, and it’s up to you to find the killer. Mathis House in Toms River, New Jersey, invites you to an evening of mystery. Murder has fallen on Platform 9 3/4, and everyone’s a suspect. Can you catch the killer? In order to get your head in the right place, wizard robes are encouraged for the evening. Dinner will also be provided. Tickets are $75 per person, and early registration is recommended since seats fill up fast. Dinner starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, August 25. More information can be found on the event website.

Learn to Draw a Niffler

Nifflers are just the darnedest little creatures, aren’t they? The next best thing to having one handy for a quick pickpocket is having one in a frame. Well, okay, maybe the real thing is better, but a drawing is still fun. At this event, hosted by Me & My Pencil, which is based in the United Kingdom, students can learn how to utilize their pencils for creativity. The event is held online, so the class is available for anyone to attend. Registration is £12, and class will be held on Wednesday, August 25 at 9:30 a.m. BST (1:30 a.m. PDT). More information can be found on the event website.

That’s all we have for you this week. Come back to find out more about magical events near you.
