Mainline Monster Hunter players are used to doing pre-quest rituals that increase their chances of success. Double checking the item pouch and eating food are things that all experienced hunters should do before going out on a hunt, and the same concept holds true in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. In this game, the Prayer Pot is what players need to check before they leave a town, as it is capable of providing extremely useful but temporary buffs. While it may not seem worth using at the beginning, it gets stronger the more players use it.

The Prayer Pot is available at the very beginning of the game, and it serves three primary uses. With the Prayer Pot, players can get a Charm and a Prayer, both of which provide temporary boosts to their stats or other beneficial bonuses. Finally, the Prayer pot can also be used to engage with the Amiibo content in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 - How to Upgrade the Prayer Pot

The Prayer pot starts at level one, but as players use charms it will increase in power. Charms provide powerful bonuses in Monster Hunter Stories 2, so it's worth doing this anyway. By level eight players will have unlocked all prayers, and this will require players to use a total of 35 charms. As the Prayer Pot levels up, players will unlock new Prayers and their charms and Prayers will get stronger. The Prayer Pot can be leveled up past level eight, but it takes longer to get each level, with 170 charms in total required for level 20.

Level 2 - Use 5 charms

Level 3 - Use 10 charms

Level 4 - Use 15 charms

Level 5 - Use 20 charms

Level 6 - Use 25 charms

Level 7 - Use 30 charms

Level 8 - Use 35 charms

Monster Hunter Stories 2 - All Prayer Pot Prayers
